I've heard of a fingerbowl, but a thumbs box?
That's what Image Entertainment has to offer. All Thumbs is the complete (to date) collection of Steve Oedekerk's Thumbation featurettes. Beginning and ending with spoofs of two of the 1970s most legendary film offerings and kidding a little of everything in between, Oedekerk's imaginative opposables are funny, ingenious, and downright unforgettable.
When Thumb Wars first hit shelves, it could have been just another in a long line of sometimes amusing but often forgettable Star Wars spoofs. Nope...Oedekerk and his thumbs showed a gift for comedy with this short film by being both A) a clever parody of a well-known target, and B) funny in and of itself, regardless of your awareness of the in-jokes.
It's those thumbs, I tell ya...they're some of the funniest looking caricatures to ever dance across a small screen. Expressive and charismatic, they prove that being "all thumbs" can be complimentary!
We've reviewed each of the Thumbation titles individually to give you more specifics...just click on a link, and we'll tell you about the film and its disc:
The Blair Thumb
Put them all together, and you've got yourself a serious collection of comedy. Well, as serious as it can be for all-thumb productions!
Steve Oedekerk struck gold when he introduced Thumbation to the masses. I only hope this set doesn't mark the last we see of his thumbs-up spoofs!
