"Thunderbirds to the rescue!"

Set ****

Sometimes the whole is even greater than the sum of the individual parts.  Put all of Gerry Anderson's classic Thunderbirds television episodes into one set, and you've got yourself one heck of a collector's item.

Bravo to A&E for making this set, and all the individual double-disc offerings as well, available to fans to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the show.  I have no idea where these discs rank on their DVD sales charts, but I CAN say from personal experience that no title generated more email here at DMC than Thunderbirds Volume One.  Fans far and wide wanted to know only two things...would A&E bring the rest of the adventures of International Rescue to disc, and if so, when?

The answers, happily, were 'yes' and 'soon'.  Thunderbirds rocketed their way onto shelves one double disc at a time, each with a handful of features, each with restored picture, and best of all, each with terrific new 5.1 remixes that were bold and dynamic, and added a whole new dimension of excitement to the series!

Now, A&E has seen fit to assembled the entire kit and kaboodle into one 12 disc Megaset, and just in time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the show.  Every episode is included, as well as the combined total of all the individual sets' extras, and all packaged in a handsome case to sit like a shining jewel in your DVD library.

We have full length reviews for each of the 6 two-disc offerings featured in the Megaset, so click on a review for more details:

Thunderbirds Volumes Three & Four

Thunderbirds Volumes Five & Six

Thunderbirds:  MegaSet is the ultimate prize for fans of Gerry Anderson's legendary supermarionation science fiction series...it's F.A.B.!
